You have met the nicest people on our trip. The folks at “Mom’s Kitchen” in North Bend, OR were no different. We stopped for breakfast and got to meet Mom and her kids that now run the cool little breakfast and lunch spot. We had a great breakfast and so really nice conversations with the Family; as well as, many of the “regulars”. The food was spectacular.
We rolled into The Sea And Sand RV Park a couple of days ago on a cold and rainy day. Typical of the PNW (as the locals call it). We of course live in sunny FL. When it’s not sunny, give it a few minutes and it will be.
Not here. The sun is a rare occurrence and the locals (my daughter Savannah who lives near Tacoma will confirm this) come out in droves because you don’t get many of these days. With that being said, every area and environment has it’s beauty. I love watching a good storm come ashore especially is it is mixed with violent ocean action.
We spent the last few days exploring the coast south and then north of Depoe Bay along the 101. The area is full of small towns and the State or Oregon has so many parks along the ocean too. This along with Federal BLM Land (and parks) makes this area a cool wonderland of sights to behold. Some of the highlights were the lighthouses and the Tillamook Creamery.
