5/26/22 Devils Tower, or as it is known by local Indian Tribes...Bear Lodge

5/25 and 5/26 were long travel days with just over 600 miles between them. Although long, the scenery in Southern Montana and Northern Wyoming was nothing short of spectacular. The landscape seemed to change around every hill and curve. Vast ranches and farms filled the area with great views of rolling hills and ranch hands working the herds of cattle and fields of crops.

The goal was to get to Devils Tower before we hit the Badlands and Black Hills. We got an early start on 5/26 and made it to The KOA just outside the Park entrance by 1 pm.

During our journey we have encountered much physical history associated with our earth and Country; but this stop was both physical and spiritual. I think we all can see the geology associated with the area, but the “spiritual history” that is still being written needs a bit more explanation. Out of respect for the many Indian Tribes that hold this ground sacred I have inserted below some pictures that have information that does an excellent job explaining the history of this place. Please take time to read as we did and learn about this amazing place.

Please enjoy what we had the privilege of being a a part of.
