Two days spent at The Pismo Coast RV Resort. Yesterday we both were fairly tired so not much to talk about, but we got out a walked around a bit. A lot cool old spaces mixed with new ideas, that was our first impressions. This not only applied to the buildings and general area, but the people too. Young and old alike were out together enjoying a beautiful afternoon.
A bit of interesting local history…Clams. Seams that the California Coast had been prime clam digging. Locally they have been over harvested so in 1947 all commercial harvesting stopped.
The two highlights for us was the pier and old school bowling alley/arcade/restaurant. Pismo Bowl has been here since 1936. Today it still looks like it did in the 50’s.
Love the beach and that it’s not too crowded – only beach I have been to in CA is Huntington Beach and I like this much better!
Cool looking town! Dig the 50’s vibe.
