We are presently spending 9 nights at Gulf State Park. This post is about Gulf State Park- 5 Cool Activities. Gulf State Park is one of the most sought after Alabama State Parks and Sharon was able to score us a second stay in the last two months.

Everyone knows about the beach and the trails, so we thought a few short videos on other activities that are offered at Gulf State Park would be great to showcase. The videos below are still not an all encompassing “view” of what is available to participate in; but will give you ideas.

From the time you enter Gulf State Park, you know this is no ordinary park. After we settled in and setup the RV, Day 1 found us at the Resort Style Pool. As Day 2 dawned, a Lakeview Trail ride was in order. We brought our binoculars and were treated to hawks and osprey dancing in the skies overhead. Day 3 and 4 were all about the animals and eco systems in and around Gulf State Park. The Park participates in creating a safe haven for the indigenous animal population while helping educate the public on it’s mission. On the final day of 5, we had a awesome evening at Food Craft. The restaurant is located at The Lodge (the beachfront hotel owned by Gulf State Park) and is the setting for great food and spectacular sunsets.
